Regarding the " Chicken Strip ", the Naturist Society article said that Superintendent Reynolds, apparently someone who oversees this area, attempted to have it closed, even though there had been no opportunity for public comment. Pilots and their organizations flooded Reynolds with letters protesting the closure of the Chicken Strip, and Superintendent Reynolds eventually relented, promising to give the matter further study, and allowing citizen input before proceeding. Regarding the springs themselves, the article states " Saline Warm Springs information sign has been removed, raising doubts about the future of nude use at the site ". It said signs forbidding nudity were briefly posted at the site, but those signs were unauthorized and were quickly taken down. Reynolds was advised by the U.S. attourney to take down the information sign that states Saline Warm springs as a clothing optional area. The NAC ( Naturist Action Committee ) issued an Action Alert specifically asking naturist and others to contact Supt. Reynolds and request the return of the information sign. A Reynolds aide has even been telling recent callers that the code of Federal Regulations ( CFR ) forbids nudity at the springs ( Saline ) . These are some of the things discussed in this article which is on page 33 to 35 in the Spring quarterly edition of the Naturist Society magazine. Sounds to me like something is abrew in view of these actions of removing an information sign which discusses Saline Warm Springs as clothing optional area, along with an attempt to proceed with closing down the Chicken Strip.
