Neenner neener..... neener...
Right now the Bald Eagles are migrating through northern Utah. Just 30 minutes away from my house, we went to the bird refuge out near the Great Salt Lake. One of the two small rivers that flows into the lake has several large cottonwood trees lining the river bank.
The trees are loaded with Bald Eagles. In one tree alone we counted over 20 individual birds! Those things are so dang big, they look like little people squatting on the branches.
It's so cool to watch them approach in flight from low altitudes then settle into the trees. Their screetching calls to one another is chilling! I've got to invest in a high powered zoom lense one of these days to get some pictures of those magnificent birds!
Happy bird watching, and happy hot pottin!
