BLM is currently signing open routes in the region. Curiously, BLM's signs marking the free access routes around Bowen Ranch have been replaced several times, but disappear as quickly as they are installed. The culprit has so far eluded the new BLM Law Enforcement officer.
Vandalism to discourage free access to the hot springs seems to be a continuing problem.
