I'll add my two cents to Brother Bear's.
The Moss Mill "easement" is, in my opinion, a closed issue. My understanding is that an easement used to exist to allow a former property owner access to his property. That property now belongs to the public (BLM) and the former easement does not apply, because there is no property owner that now requires access across the property of another owner. A private property owner is not required to allow access to adjacent public lands for the public.
If Bowen Ranch should close, or my access there become a problem, then I will use the current public access routes without complaint, even though I do not own a 4WD vehicle. The only other solution that I would favor would be a STAFFED access point controlled by the USFS, if they would do that. (I do not trust the BLM to staff an access point...they have not shown themselves to be interested in preventing the destruction of public lands)
