cutting down trees (upsets people greatly), glass (which can break and cut people) and littering could also result in fines. Camping is allowed in the National Forest which is on the hotsprings side of the creek (south).

The overnight camping ban was because of the numerous nomadic campers that used to live at the hotsprings during the 60's and early 70's. People were living down there on welfare and unemployment and just hiking out to the post office to file their forms once a month. Sounds like a great idea to me. It is rumored that Manson was down there during this time. So anyway, the overnight camping received negative attention which resulted in this rule.

Update: The water in the stream is about 3" below the lower pool, the pool that is under name consideration. Temperature in the stream is rising now at lower 60's.

Don't forget about the forest service meetings coming up. There are meetings with the bureau of land management in May. They are making plans!

Anyone have wildflower photos to share? The wildflowers are bountiful and beautiful all around the hotsprings right now. Can we name some of the flowers? Chia, desert daisys, poppies, cactus flowers, choya flower, grey ball sage (purple sage), Yucca, and more. The desert is so beautiful this time of year with the colors and contrasts.
