I'll have to agree with Mojave Green on this one. Your attorney friend may be right if not for the fact that Bowen Ranch supplies maps (which are admittedly hard to follow), but I find it distasteful that anyone would try to lay blame in this tragedy. I feel really sorry for the girl's companion as well, who must live with the fact that their mutual unpreparedness and failure to get the girl out of her wet clothes are the most likely reasons that she is no longer with us. Yet, if anyone were to suggest that her companion be held legally responsible for her death, I would disagree with that as well.
Commendations are also due to the Village resident who heard the companions cries for help, brought a blanket for the girl, showed her companion how to perform CPR, and tried his best to get a phone call out to 911 in attempt to save her life.
Anyone going to the hot springs should take note and come prepared, regardless of which route you take to access the springs.
