Hi,
I used this trail to get to the springs this past Saturday. Finding the Kinely Bridge was not a problem. I drove in from the east which was a much more scenic drive (and convenient for me) than from the Hwy 15. There were a few cars parked around the bridge before I arrived. My car was fine when I returned.
Before leaving for the springs I had used your instructions and a topo map to record some waypoints on my GPS. This helped in finding the start of the trail that leads to the springs and to gauge my progress. The only difficultly I had was in getting from the end of the Bradford Ridge Trail to the PCT. I looked around for an obvious trail but couldn't really find one, so I just scrambled down the hill. Actually, a toboggan would have come in handy for this!
After a relaxing day at the springs I hiked back on the PCT looking for a better way up to the top of the ridge but still couldn't find one so I just zigzagged my way back up. It was somewhat strenuous but not impossible. Once I got back on the trail and started hiking to my car I looked back and saw a women doing yoga at the top of the ridge that I scrambled up to. Now, this could have been a mirage, but I don't think so! There must be an easier way up.
I'm going to post my trail map on my web site (http://homepage.mac.com/donreith) in the next few days along with the track data from my GPS if anyone is interested.
