Rick --- I do agree ten fold --- When they closed the forest in 2002 for three months there was at least signs at most of the trail heads and there were citations being issued. The articles in both of the SB newspaper about the teenagers death claim, that the closure is clear on their website and PR publications. The closure is hidden in the "News" section of their website and then ambiguous, unless one knows the back roads of these mountains. And most of the PR in the newspapers have announced that the mountains are open but do not inform the public of the unburned closures. This is another example, this one being tragic, of the mediocre management of these mountains by an underfunded, unmotivated, and nonresponsive organization.
