I always come in from Lake Arrowhead. The easiest is on the Bradford Ridge Trail - Half way down/up (park at the stop sign at the bridge). It is less than three miles with elevation gain coming back of about 1000 ft - a lot more strenuous than from the ranch. The other way is to come down the PCT. Start at Splinters Cabin in Cedar Glen (which probably is still closed due to the fire) this is down hill all the way to the springs and is close to 7 miles.
