Thanks for the report. I think that it is time to start writing letters. "More trash than they have ever seen before" should be quoted to the USFS, and they must be made to realize that their closure interferes with our (DCV and other volunteers) ability to keep the area clean and healthy.
I will write a letter myself just after Christmas, so they will get it before the new year starts. Let's start the new year right...with open access to our beloved hot springs.
This is my own idea right now. DCV will not be meeting until later in January, but I would like personally to ask all DCV members and any other interested people to write a letter. The address has been posted before, but if anyone needs it, I will post it again. We should not tolerate the continued closure of the springs in the absence of any good reason. It is detrimental to the springs!
