Its too bad the rain mostly missed us. The mountain areas did get a dusting of snow that covered the black darkness from the recent fires. A friend told me it was very healing to look out and see the fresh snow. Although her house wasn't burned, she expressed a profound sadness and guilt becauise her house was spared while her neighbors suffered the loss of everything. I could relate to her feelings in my own experiences with the Willow fire of 99. Hopefully, this winter will bring substantial moisture to the area.
