Miguelbgood, It makes no sense at all! Is the person that you reached at this number part of the USFS? It seems to me this person may be stating the intended policy which will affect the actual burn areas. This person may not be aware that DCHS is far removed from the burned lands. You say that he says " Deep Creek may be closed for a long time ". My guess is this relates to portions of Deep Creek that were actually burned, far upstream from DCHS. After seeing the policies affecting the DCHS area in recent years, nothing would supprise me at this point. If they actually keep DCHS closed for that long, the USFS will definitly lose credibility with alot of DCHS vistors.
