DCR brings up a good point. If people are still going to DCHS and trashing the place unbeknownst to the collective DCV members, that can be a problem. I don't know if its feasible, but if any USFS personnel (ie Brad Burns or other rangers) are actually going to the springs to ensure no one is going there, maybe they could provide a brief oral report to Ron or Wizard on the general condition of the springs,(trash etc). If there is an excessive trash problem or some obvious structural problems with the pools, the Ranger could report those back to Ron or Wizard. Then possibly the USFS (ie Brad) would allow a responsible DCV member , (Ron, Wizard, etc) to go to the springs for trash cleanup or fix up the pools. Maybe all this is overkill, but I'm still concerned that Mike is letting people in and not telling them about the closure.
