I heard on the radio ( AM 1070 ) this morning about certain areas of the San Bernardino Mtns being reopened. From the description of the remaining closed areas, it appears to me that DCHS is still in the closed area. Above it states that everything between HWY 330 and the Angeles National Forest is closed. The part that relates to DCHS is the description of the closed boundry going East from Running Springs on HWY 18 to Green Valley road, which is probably the road from HWY 18 to Green Valley Lake. Just before Green Valley lake, route 3N16 heads north east as stated, then where 3N16 hits 3N14 the boundry goes North Westerly back to the northern boundry of the San Bernardino forest at a point around Oak Springs Ranch. By my reckoning that would put every thing on the West side of this boundry, and within the San Bernardino Forest, still closed, with the exception of lands north of Lone Pine canyon road which goes the back way to the town or Wrightwood and is on the West side of the 15 FWY, a long ways from the DCHS area. I was glad to hear of the reopened Forest areas but it may be that DCHS is still within the closed zones. I hope this is not the case, or, maybe the Forest Service may have made some exception for the DCHS area.
