Thanks for the thoughts. The weather is finally coming to the rescue with some moisture, but the winds are still fierce. Residents along Bowen Ranch Road are under voluntary evacuation, but we are hopeful that it will not go to mandatory. Some residents of the mountain lakes areas will not be able to return home for about a week, and many don't even know if their homes will be there or not.

The high desert community here has really laid out the welcome mat, putting up a number of evacuation centers and shelters while a local talk radio station has been coordinating everything from volunteers to donations to lost pets. I've been listening to it nonstop. Right now they are trying to get socks and chapstick for the firefighters.

We are all o.k. here, though, as far as I can tell. Good spirits on the mountain.
