When we met with the rangers at the springs during our March meeting, they mentioned that why a Wilderness designation would limit access to a permit required situation, a Wild and Scenic designation would not. The W&S designation would provide additional funds, which in turn would allow for more rangers and patrols which in my opinion would benefit Deep Creek Hot Springs. I don't see any potential negative outcome to this designation at this time. As for the brochure, the wording that Katerina questions exists on the current version the USFS approved on 02/14/03.
