Thanks for sharing another chapter in the history of Bowen Ranch, Gail.
The mountain community had a very unsavory reputation back in the eighties. This colorful episode is one of many that established an aura of lawlessness around Deep Creek Hot Springs.
Although amusing to read in retrospect, locals are relieved to put that era behind and once again enjoy the renewed peace and friendliness of this historic healing ground.
