To start with let me apologize for not posting the agenda and reminder of the meeting in advance. The meeting was held as usual on the last Saturday of the month at 1:00 p.m.
The meeting was attended by Sycamore, Paul, AZ Mike, Richard (a new member that signed up shortly before the meeting) and I. Two or three textile visitors to the springs also joined us to listen in to our meeting.
As usual Sycamore took down the minutes of our meeting, however due to her recent move and the Blaster Worm; she is currently off the Forum so she asked me to post the minutes for her.
Item 1: Membership 2 new members joined since last month, DCR and Richard. Our membership is now 19 including the three out of state members. (Later in the afternoon, following our meeting two more members joined so now we are at 21).
Item 2: Laughing Bear asked us to consider presenting a letter from DCV to BLM opposing the opening of the OHV trail across Juniper Flats that was added as an amendment after the WEMO plan public comment period closed. The members present unanimously agreed to do so, so I will write the proposed letter and post a copy to this thread later on today.
Item 3: AZ Mike presented some proposed changes to our brochure. Some of them are just minor grammatical corrections, but others are additions of subject or text. As a consequence I will be reviewing the changes, add the proposed modifications that were mentioned in our previous meeting and submit them at next months meeting for approval by the group. (I will try to email a file showing the changes to the group before the meeting). Once the group has approved it we will present the changes to the USFS for their blessing.
Without any other subjects presented for discussion the meeting was adjourned around 1:30. We spent the rest of the afternoon collecting trash, watering trees and soaking in the creek.
