I just returned from camping in the forest where recent rains have increased the fuel moisture content. We were in the valley between Sugarloaf mountain and the San Gorgonio wilderness where over an inch of rain has fallen since last Monday. Unfortunatly, no rain fell in the Deep Creek/ Juniper Flats area so the fire danger remains high. 4 years ago today, the Willow Fire incinerated the area, including my place. I would like to urge all visitors to the area to be extremly careful and please observe the USFS ban on outdoor fires and barbques. Thanks
