The squirrel, being agile and familiar with those cliffs was able to slow itself down a bit on the way down. It was part terrorized run and part controlled fall. The snake tumbled down a small ravine on that cliff, so it was not a free fall for either party :-) I did not see the squirrel again after it reached the bottom, and the snake appeared to be unharmed. It was amazing how fast that snake swam across the Lagoon, embarassed, but intact :-)
