It sounds like you to got off on the wrong foot. This forum can be intimidating to some people as we have opposing sides always examining people as to what side they are on. Maybe mojavegreen is one of those firefighters. Maybe he used the name mojavegreen to communicate "don't mess with me." Maybe that is just this persons handle. There are a few meanings to the name.
However, realizing that a mojave green is one of the most poisonious snakes in the world, the namesake has a definite image.
I was told that mojave greens are not native to the area and were brought up to the high desert as a way to keep the prisoners in line at a local prison. The mojave greens were put right outside of this prison so that if anyone escaped, they may not make it very far. I heard this from a real nature lover and member of the sierra club.
