Any definitive proof there, Wizard? "Certain folks" is rather vague...but maybe it is really those pesky gremlins. Or just a story. The Wizard would never buy one of those...so take his advice and don't buy his. "Direct knowlede that shows me" is also vague. Absolutely correct about it being legal to hike that way. The USFS doesn't want people to, but it is not illegal. Happy soakin' however you get there.
