It has been frustrating for DCHS, Inc. that we have been unable to retain an attorney to resolve the Bowen Ranch ownership issue for several years. Because we have been unable to get this to court so far, it has left room for doubt about our position. I understand that and agree that getting this issue resolved will establish credibility for our position. How many people have $10,000 or more available for payment of legal fees? As we found out, a corporation is required by state law to have an attorney represent them. We could not personally represent the corporation. However, DCHS, Inc. has found someone to sponsor the costs of our legal action and we are awaiting a return call from the attorney we want to retain.

Therefore, we believe that we will be filing our complaint in court in the next new months. It may take time before it actually gets to court. First you file the complaint. Then there is a response from the opposition and/or challenges to the complaint. Then you get into the discovery phase of the lawsuit. Then you may finally have your days in court. The ownership of the Bowen Ranch will only be decided only through court process. I think we can leave this issue for the court and have less discussion on the forum about this issue. In addition, the allegations concerning the violence conducted by the residents at the Bowen Ranch will be examined as part of the court action.

However, I will post the news articles about the issue for the days of John Ware so that the forum readers can be informed on what happened about this issue in the late 1970's. I think the articles are informative, interesting and colorful.

I have just upgraded my computer and have dreamweaver for creating websites. I intend to redesign the DCHS, Inc. website in the near future. The DCHS, Inc. website will be displayed on the internet in the next few months. The website is the best place for these issues to be examined. However, I will still post issues that concern the safety of the public on the forum. I think the public should be warned to be cautious and careful while in the Deep Creek area.

However, Deep Creek and the Bowen Ranch have been intertwined since the early 1920's and that will continue. What happens at the Bowen Ranch directly affects and reflects on Deep Creek. The Government Agencies direct the public to access Deep Creek through the Bowen Ranch. The Bowen Ranch is shown as the way to access Deep Creek in many publications and on the internet. Whether we like it or not, these two places are connected. I believe that the profit motive of the residents at the Bowen Ranch over the years is what has caused these conflicts. I believe that peace will be found when the profit motive is permanently removed from the Bowen Ranch.
