Ease up there, Wizard! I was only trying to shed some light on the matter...to let you know that it was the internet posting, and not the picture taking, that this man seemed to mind. I was not trying to start some debate or argument over whether your actions are justified. I thought that, hearing that the man was unhappy, you would appreciate knowing what he didn't like about it.
I stand by what I said about slander and libel. Saying that you don't like someone, or that you feel the person may be violent, or simply that you want that persons property (the truth) would be one thing. Accusing someone of murder, attempted murder, or other criminal acts is considered slander if said publicly and libel if it is printed. That is not opinion, that is fact. Perhaps you are right that Mike Castro doesn't prosecute because he doesn't believe he can win. On the other hand, it could be that Mike Castro is not vindictive enough to want to take someone to court because they want his property. Or, it could be that Mike Castro realizes that the things said on a private internet site fall into a gray area when it comes to normal libel and slander laws. All of these possibilities are speculation, of course, and we can hold different opinions about them. Only Mike Castro knows for sure why he does not prosecute.
