Sycamore, I don't think our limited discussion of rock stacking here in this thread could be clasified as " discussing rock stacking to death ". You mention that your activity of rock stacking is a " valid " thing for you to do. Arn't things in the National Forest areas supposed to be left as they are? Is it, in regards to the USFS regulations, legal to move material objects around and place them in formations for your own interest? It seems to me that DCR's interest that the landscape be left in a form that is created by nature would be valid as related to the interest of the USFS. I do not know if there are any laws on this subject. The fact still remains that for those who wish to see the landscape without these stacked rocks would mean they would have to go knock them down, and these folks may not appreciate having to do that. Anyway, I don't gather that anyone in this discussion or elsewhere plan on making any big deal about it. The stacks will fall down eventually, one way or the other. I'm not sure what subtle innuendo you are refering to, but since you say you don't want to talk about it, then why bring it up in the first place? Happy Soakin :-)
