Paul P.,
Apparently you have not been learning from my post. The U.S.F.S. instead of closing the JF3 trail of least resistance, has opened it up wider.
I camped there this weekend. Where the juniper tree used to be is a new trail. People have learned that they can now make a short cut here, and have. The erosion will be much greater when the rains come. I am talking about the Juniper tree that used to be 1/2 way down the trail. The U.S.F.S. also cut many bushes making the trail much easier to find, and easier for motorcycles to navigate. When I was there this weekend I saw three motorcycle tire tracks on it . Instead of stopping at the bushes as they used to, they go all the way to the flat spot on the hill above the springs. They used to stop as the bushes were to difficult to navigate. Now the buches are gone.
Next will be the A.T.V.'s with the rangers and police on them. So get ready hot springers, for big brother. At least the huge pile of trash will be easier on my arms.
I suggest everyone hike this trail to learn of how the rape the forest policy is going. While at the parking lot look south, see and hear the dragon they have produced . Burning the forest to save it. AWESOME
Is anyone noticing the trees above the springs and on the Bradford ridge trail? They are all dead. Does anyone care?
Also Paul P.,
Thanks for the info about the S.B. area. The beautiful woman who shared the Manzinita springs told me to never tell any one its location. A promise is a promise. If you want to find it do like I did. Find a beautiful local to be your guide. I am a lucky guy. :~)
And I noticed the D.C.V. meeting is just 2 days after the next WEMO meeting.
Ron,
Congratulations, I noticed the article in Nude and Natural magazine about the work you are doing. Good luck and God help you. And I am glad to see D.C.V. is on their mailing list. Seeing the friends of deep creek there always rubbed me wrong.
I suppose the # of post w/out a Wizard just keeps getting longer ?
and the deep creek flows...
