hi all!
I was actually thinking of taking a leisurely stroll down from hook creek road to the springs in a couple of weeks. I'm sure it could be done in a day, but i was hoping to stretch it out over 2 to allow for plenty of splashing in the swim holes along the way. This upstream section of deep creek is actually suppossed to be one of the best cliff jumping areas in the West. Geronimo!
My understanding is that any camping i did along this route would have to be atleast a mile away from the creek... any good spots spring to mind? What do people do who are hiking the PCT tip to tail? Do they really blow through this hole deep creek section in one day?! Imagine that... hiking from Canada to Mexico and barely having time to soak your feet in our spring... now that's a tragedy.
good vibes to all,
stu.
