The problem is you never know how people will react when you try to talk to them. Even if your courteous, many people immediately go on the defensive and react with the "flight or fight" syndrome. I have almost always chosen to remove myself from any possible confrontation, even though I have the capability of killing someone because of my extensive self defense training. But of course I never would. I do my best to try to perceive how an individual will react when I approach them for a conversation on their behavior. Some drunks are simply loud and obnoxious and wouldn't hurt a flea. Others are just bad people to begin with, the alcohol only flames the fire. MORAL OF THE STORY -don't get into confrontations at Deep Creek. Remove yourself from the situation. At most, the occasional stupid person is at the springs for only a day and then they leave.
