Item #5) We discussed the new Yahoo group started by talktome. It was noted that the usage restrictions on that site would prevent some of the name-calling and unproven allegations seen on the forum, but it was also noted that the site does not have what this forum provides: a threaded discussion format that allows messages to be sorted by topic with all items on that topic, or thread, visible at once to facilitate discussion.
The discussion then resumed about this forum, and ended with consensus on the following request from us to Webmaster Rick:
Webmaster Rick: We request that you reinstate Arizona Mike to the forum and drop the registration process that forces some of us into posting with passwords given them by you (which has kept some people from posting)
OR: We request that you clearly state the rules of this discussion forum and reveal which specific rule or rules Arizona Mike violated, then make sure that every other forum user who violates that rule is also banned.
Webmaster Rick, please respond. Thank you.
Item #6) The quesiton was raised as to whether the DCV currently documents all of it's correspondence, in particular with the USFS. The question was answered yes, Ron (#1) does this. (what is in the parentheses is a joke I slipped into the minutes...hope no one is offended!)
End of meeting minutes.
