My friend today also told me that just because something is recorded with the county, that this process does not determine the legality of what is recorded. Perhaps Katrina can clarify " why " she believes this quite Claim deed to be legal. Regarding my donation, it was my hope to see the historic Bowen Building become a non-profit, meeting point and information center, available to " all " of the public visiting the area. Currently the Bowen Building is a business based on DCHS visitation and is " not " available to " all " the public visiting the area. In making my donation, I did not seek to cause " anything " to be taken from Mike Castro that he truly owned. Katrina will not gain ownership of the Bowen Building without the courts approval as far as I can see. I also considered at the time of my donation that this Quite Claim Deed might not be legal even though Katrina feels it is. There is no way I personally could determine the legality of it.
