Laughing Bear, I am glad to see you are still calling William your friend. Perhaps I should apologize for taking him over to your santuary. I will not make that mistake again. I talked him into it by saying "seeing old friends is good for the soul." I still think this way.
While I am not defending him or your positions. I would like to say this.
The federal government banned mining on blm (our) land. It did this by it`s on authority granted granted by it`s self, not by congress (us). They (not us) made these and many other rules in the interst of (Public saftey) their own power hungry egos.
William went around their rules by fileing a mill site claim. Which is still leagle, under their rules. One of our constitutional rules is we can petition our government. Which is what he was doing.
My hat is off to all citizens w/the balls to stand up against government oppression. America needs more of them. Especialy now.
Now we have a bureaucracy of new rules. Rules the common person is unable to understand. Rules impossed not by the justice dept. but by the dept. or agriculture. Not by us but by them, the bureaucrats. This is their way of circumventing the constitution.
William was obeying a court order when (what he believed to be his) home was destroyed. Thereby his right to due prosses was destroyed.
ONCE AGAIN THIS IS MY TAKE ON THIS. I could be wrong. And I certainly do not intend to offend anyone.
Also just to be clear. I was w/bullet dodging Roe when he made copies of that news paper article. And feel partialy responsable. Because I was doing laundry, instead of going springing w/him, like I said I would. G+W were not any where around.
And giving money to a cause does not make you responsible for some thing unrelated to that cause. I.E. I have given money to the catholic church. That does not mean I am responsable for what they are up to, in any way.
Like I have posted before. LET`S leave the past in the past. PRETTY PLEASE.
NOW what can we do that is constructive? Perhaps you could start by teaching your daughters, who have been up there most of their lives to not get lost.
My children always had these things:a compass, backpack, water bottle, towel, flashlight, and tissue paper. Are not these thing in the DCV brochure? What is the use of being a member and not following these common since rules?
I sincerely hope things get better in the future, brother.
