Hello Ron, The Bradford Ridge trail, which starts at the Kinely Creek Bridge, is in real good shape currently, having been worked on quite a bit by volunteers in the last couple of years. Its my understanding that the distance from where you park to Deep Creek Hot Springs is about two and a half miles. On a recent hike on that trail I made it from the start of this trail on HWY173 to Deep Creek in one hour. DCHS is just upstream about a 10 minute walk along the PCT, from the point where this trail hits the PCT. There are no signs at the beginning of this trail on 173. You park in the wide area by the bridge, then if you stand on the bridge and look in a Northerly direction you will see an old pole gate. There is a sign on that gate saying " Bradford Ridge trail to Deep Creek ". There is a spot in the old pole gate to walk through and the trail within about 50 feet goes over a small rise then turns left into a small canyon. From there the trail is clear to follow. Eventually you will come to a point where there is a barbed wire fence with some more wood signs on it. Cross over this barbed wire fence ( only one wire near the ground ) and continue on about another 10 minutes of walking down into the canyon where this trail connects with the PCT. At the PCT, take it right ( going upstream ) and follow Deep Creek for about another 10 minute walk to the springs. The vegetation along this trail got mostly burnt in the Willow Fire of 1999 but amazingly enough most of it has now grown back. You can still see evidence of the fire. Also along the way you pass some big Ponderosa Pines which wisper softly when the wind is blowing. This trail goes up and down over small ridges for the first 30 minutes of hiking. After that it begins its decent down into the Deep Creek Canyon. Good luck on your hike :-)
