Jobe, you may have confused me with an Idahoan... because I may have mentioned that I enjoy the numerous hot springs there. In fact I'll be checking some out this very weekend. I'm from Utah, just a bit south of the Gem State. (I can hear some of the snickers now... but that's okay... I'm use to it. I'm okay with my roots)

Katrina, thanks for the continued math lesson. Yes $7K plus a month would be a bit more to my liking. But I seriously doubt that's what the ranch is taking in.

And I won't get into the morality of taxes, the war, oil, Bush, or the liar before him... that's the basis for even more arguementative threads that really don't relate to Deep Creek Hot Springs. But...

One of my (our) Articles of Faith kind of goes along with what Jobe mentioned: "We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law."

I firmly believe that. If we think a leader or a law is unjust, thank goodness our forefathers provided a way for us to legally correct it. Vote the boneheads out of office! Lobby to change the law that is unjust.

As far as Mr. Castro and the ranch is concerned... that's a little bit more of a problem. Can't vote him out. And the same law that protects us, seems to pander to him or ignore the injustices surrounding the Bowen Ranch enterprise.

Patience or perseverance... them's my suggestions. But do it legally. Just remember when you corner a rattlesnake, or make it mad, watch out for the consequences. Like I alluded to before... Keep a wide bearth around a dangerous serpent, ignore/avoid it and enjoy the hike anyway. Warn the fellow hikers of the dangers of hiking in snake country, and let them decide from your information. And you have to feel bad about the defenseless cute mice it may eat in it's path, but can't do much about it.
