Good points Katrina on the business aspect of the Bowen Ranch. I can aggree with you word for word in paragraph 2 of the above post. Imagine that....anyway,the volume of visitors accessing via the Bowen Ranch does impact the area with increased traffic on the road, especially on weekends. There is a legal responsibility in this state regarding businesses and their customers. Bar owners have been held responsible in drunk driving cases.
Suppose a drunk driver gets in a wreck after leaving the Bowen Ranch. Or, a fire gets away from some campers. Yes, there is a liability issue that goes along with having a business. My sister has a small business that involves outdoor activity. She maintains liability insurance to cover any possible injury to her customers. She also maintains a port-a -john on site for the bare essentials of well....you know...avoiding fecal coloform in the bushes.
Once that almighty dollar is exchanged for a service...it becomes a business and is subject to all kinds of rules and regulations.
