Regarding my suggestion of the Route 3 trail becoming a USFS legal trail, don't count on any support coming from the core group at the Bowen Ranch. Thier basic sentiment about people who access around the Bowen Ranch is that they are " Idiots " bent on causing mayhem at DCHS, as described to me by one of Mike Castro's disciples recently in an e-mail. This group was more than happy to see the closing of the three other open routes to the USFS parking lot and would not have sad faces if the last " realistic " remaining option of Route 4 to Route 3 to that parking lot was closed too. In the e-mail from this disciple, they gave me credit for " all " of the ills, past, present and future that have ever happened, or will happen to DCHS, just because I " dared " to mention the public open routes of 4 and 3. This disciples diatribe really showed the depths of thier confusion. I could see that there was no point in wasting more time trying to talk some sense into this person. There has been a consistent double standard when it comes to the thinking by this core group at the Bowen Ranch about access. They can inform, advise, invite people regarding DCHS, the Bowen Ranch, and tell them how to get there all day long, until thier blue in the face, and there is never a problem in the world with that. But if a person like me has the audacity to mention the free, legal, open, public ways of access like Route 4 and 3 in the area, then this core group feels compelled to launch into a frenzy of ridicule, and character assasination directed at the " evil one " who's transgression of mentioning any other access Routes besides the Bowen Ranch. For these folks the mentioning of public open routes like 4 and 3 brings automatic " doom " for DCHS from the low life, trailer trash, scum that travel routes around the divine entrance of the Bowen Ranch. Well I will advise those of you who enjoy using open routes to DCHS like 4 and 3 to keep an eye on this core group at the Bowen Ranch. If they can find a way, they would love to see the closing of any open routes in the area around the Bowen Ranch that might provide a threat to the business that operates there. These people, Mike Castro, Kevin, Tanya and thier disciples are simply just people, who happen to own land in the area, and yet, they are doing thier best to press thier will, and thier own personal agenda on anyone who holds an opinion about DCHS adverse to them. They have no authority in the area beyond being citizens of this land like the rest of us. If you disagree with this group, there will be no sensible discussion of pertinent points, you will simply be ridiculed by them. Thier skills at producing mis-information and arguments that are laughable is downright amusing at times. We shall see what thier next move is in thier efforts to controll " all " the visitors on the North side of DCHS.
