I find it a contradiction that horses can be ridden to the springs on all the trails. 1000 pound plus animals with 4 shovels for feet when it comes to the damage they do and yet bikes with rubber tires and weigh maybe 30 pounds more or less, and leave mostly just a little line of a print in the dirt are dis-allowed. When the cows used to range in the area they did extensive damage to various trails in thier wanderings. They also made " new trails " to the places they liked going to along the creek, Bad Cows! They even did thier own style of maintanence work on the Route 3 trail before its recent controversy. Its my view that if bikes are not allowed on the trails in the area then horses show themselves to go far beyond a bike in thier descructive capabilities to trails and should be dis-allowed also.
