I find it difficult to believe that USFS is responsible for this. If they are, I question there motives. Is it a safety issue? Fire suppression? Or are they simply tired of all the all the problems with the "Mike Castro Mess" and they want more people to use this trail instead? I hope Ranger Brad Burns has some answers...
