The drought busting rains of last winter produced an amazing display of wildflowers that are still going strong. Unfortunatly, the fire danger will be extreme as soon as the hot weather dries everything out. The weeds are thick this year and my weedwacker is getting a workout. I would not be suprised if the USFS closes high risk areas again this year due to the abundance of dead trees in the forest. The potential for disaster is all too real for the USFS to ignore.
