Observer, you are truly a chickensh*t person, hiding behind a "nom de net". Strange are the ways of MC, either posting as an Observer, or getting one of his stooges to do his business. I've known all of the resident "managers" of the Bowen Ranch, beginning with Mrs. Bowen herself, a lady and a gentlewoman. After Mrs. Bowen there were several nice ones and a long list of nefarious pests occupying the ranch.
I have always been more interested in the beauty and ecological health of Deep Creek and the hot springs than the travails of high desert neighborhood politics, but even an occasional visitor, like myself, can become concerned when the now resident and proprietor of the gateway to the springs acts like the lout of the lot of ranch villains. Are there other legal ways for visitors to access the springs other than the Bowen Ranch? If so, does Mike Castro recognize those very legal access routes? According to many "observers", no, he does not. Mike told me 10 or so years ago that he had invested in the ranch and was not about to let others interfere with his income. I could go on and on about Castro's display and use of firearms, a practice that just could turn into a deadly exchange of bullets as others arm themselves in defense, and his belligerant and aggressive towards those he considers enemies.
Many of us consider ourselves objective observers of things we see, experience and participate in. That objectivity works as long as we are not witness to things that may make us see things that are unfair and out-of-balance. Open your eyes, Observer.
