I have been visiting DCHS for the past 10 years. I dont know how many times I have been to the springs, but I would say well over 100 times. Over time I too have developed an opinion about Mike Castro based upon my own experience and talking to people. I have found him to be kind and level headed about things. I asked him once why he does not defend himself in this forum and he gave a very wise reason. It was something like its of no use to argue with such entrenched views and passions. You know I think he is right. I respect him for not doing so.

My exprience with Mike Castro extends far beyond DCHS. I am a bit of a hot spring lover, so I travel the US and the world in search of them. Along the way (only in the US) I meet people who have known Mike Castro for a LONG time. In fact he visits some of these places himself. And you know I have only heard good things about him from these people.

Its important to for me to say that I do not have anything to gain from the Bowen Ranch issue. I am not a local property owner, I am not friends with Mike, or anyone else here on this list: I am just an avid hot spring lover sharing my view from my vantage point.
