All,

I've just got to reply one last time to this thread. Then I'll promise to give it up... I hope... and I hope you all will as well.

Just remember Katrina, you are strangly obsessed with only one of many problems surrounding Deep Creek access. But, you've made your point known. Again... and again... You've done the job that you are hell-bent on doing. You've warned us, the folks on the web, and the world about Mr. Castro.

Thanks.

We've heard you. Many many times. We get the picture. Your job is finished. We're informed... and tired... and we're willing to take the risks to get to the springs. You can stop now...

Girl... there are other ways to get to the Springs to completely avoid Bowen Ranch or the close proximity roads that circumvent it. Start at the flood control dam at the mouth of Deep Creek Canyon. Take the longer, but more interesting and beautiful hike up the Canyon where the trail winds above, over, and next to Deep Creek. OOOhh, but wait... I've heard stories of vehicle vandalism down there as well. Must be Mike's clone. Shoot... then park at the top of the Canyon, and hike DOWN to the springs. I haven't tried that route, but I hear that it exists. Oh, and I'm sure that there is some negative aspect with that route, as well.

Also, I've met some pretty unsavory characters at the springs, folks that give me the creeps much more than Mike Castro... one angry old fart with his double barrell shotgun. Not to mention all the self-centered folks who ignore the "no camping" and "no campfire" rules. Then there's those who leave the place in a lot worse condition than they found it... trash, glass, etc. These are the folks that are really impacting us for not being able to have a positive experience at the springs.

Then there's those prickly cactus plants, sharp rocks, bugs, snakes... and the sun which burns our buns if we aren't careful. Dang! There's just all kinds of crap to deal with!

Better off to stay away from the springs all together. Stay away from all of nature... life... and people, because it might be stressful or uncomfortable. Better to lock oneself up in the house and never come out. Better to stay holed up at home and mull over all the bad in the world and post negative things on the internet.

I suggest a different approach. Wake up on the OTHER side of the bed once in awhile. Accept the challenges and adversity that life has to offer. Learn, experience and grow. And be kind and considerate of and to all people. Serve others. That's why God placed us on this earth, that's what life is all about.

Jumping off my soap-box now...

Best Wishes to all,

Gary
