Laughing Bear, I agree with you totally that OHV should be kept to the specific designated areas. Just the same way that in our lakes and rivers there are sections assigned to swimming and others to boating, we all need to learn to show respect to other people's rights, but they need to respect ours as well. A "screw'em" attitude should not acceptable by any group towards another.
In regards the the Wild and Scenic designation, the USFS clarified that while this would still allow for foot access, it would establish a quota system, so we would need to obtain a specific permit for each time we visit the springs. This would be a hassle for the users and an administration nightmare for the USFS. I am sure they would have better ways to use their resources.
