Another factor to consider in the Bates case is the date, Jan 19. I do not know what the weather was like at the time but January is seasonably cold in the Deep Creeek area. The normal lows are in the 30s and 20s after sundown. It is possible he died from hypothermia as well. Several years ago,a transient who was staying in the Village was found dead in the wash. This was a coroners case and the cause of death was ruled hypothermia with alcohol intoxication being a contributing factor. Keeping an open mind,one would have to consider this possibility as well............unless of course,you were out to frame someone of murder.
