Vehicles parked upon private property can be assessed storage fees. If the fees are not paid,the vehicle can be sold in a lein sale. This seems like a reasonable explanation of Mike's actions regarding Mr Bate's rental car. He is in the car business.This is legal.
The erratic behavior of Mr Bates is symptomatic of methamphetamine abuse. I believe it could be a contributing factor in his demise.
