The question is, was hotspringer Roe carrying a gun at the time? Since there is a history of hostility between these two parties, this is a valid question to ask. Perhaps the shooter felt threatend by the hiker's presense on the edge of his property. I have personaly suggested to both parties involved to stay away from each other and I believe this is sound advice.
Since the gunfire was aimed at a rockpile and not hotspringer Roe,it seems that the intent of the gunfire was not to injure hotspringer Roe. However,a clear message apperently was sent to hotspringer Roe from the Bowen Ranch. People on both sides of this conflict have been known to carry guns and I am afraid that somebody will get hurt someday.
My only interest is seeing everyone get along peacefuly.
