I would like to re-word the first sentence of the previous post. Deep Creek Volunteers and the United States Forest Service are both organizing a clean up day that by coincidence is on the same day: Saturday March 29th.

The USFS flyer on this subject reads as follows:

"DEEP CREEK HOT SPRINGS CLEAN UP
March 29th, 2003 - Weather Permitting

EVERYONE IS WELCOME
Meet at Carrows parking lot at the corner of I St and Main St. in Hesperia at 8:30 a.m. (Come an hour early if you want to buy some breakfast) Caravan to Bowens Ranch and hike 1.5 miles to the Hot Springs. Bring water, gloves, lunch, hat, and sunblock

For more information, please contact Jennifer Smith or Brad Burns at 909-337-2444"

DCV in addition to the Clean-Up day, will be having a potluck lunch and their monthly meeting which will start at 1:00 p.m. If you can't make it to the USFS meeting place, we suggest you try and be at the springs by 10:00 a.m. or as soon as possible thereafter. All ages are welcome to participate in the clean-up and our meetings are open to the public.
