Welcome to Deep Creek Hot Springs, Suzy. You can camp on Bowen Ranch property for a very small fee, but there are no facilities available (dry camp). You can build a fire there with your own wood. The owner also does not mind if you burn some of the dead wood on the property as long as you leave the living stuff alone, but this will require scouting for it, hauling it to your campsite, and cutting it up. It can get quite cold there at this time of year, and sometimes there will be some very strong winds, but the springs are beautiful and enjoyable this time of year.

When you arrive at the springs, you will need to cross the creek. It is not very deep, but it is cold. There is a place where you can cross on the rocks, but it will be easier for you to understand if you arrive there and then call across the creek for someone to direct you to where you can cross on the rocks. (if it rains enough, the rocks will be underwater and you'll have to cross in the water)

Night use of the springs is not legal and I don't recommend it, as the fines are heavy if you are caught, but if you do decide to do it, please do not try to build a campfire there. Also, please don't bring any glass containers to the springs, pack out all your trash, and take your toileting needs far away from the creek and bury it deep.

As for hiking the trail to the springs at night, that depends on your abilities. I consider the trail pretty easy, but it is also easy to get lost at night. Have you considered a daytime visit?

I don't know of any other camping within a reasonable hiking distance from the springs.

Hope I've answered all of your questions and that you enjoy your first visit to this unique place. Peace.
