Just thought I'd mention that I have known Ruth and Terra for a long time and I have thier phone number if we need to contact them. On the issue of the signs, we discussed as a group moving the two signs up on the hill a bit further so they would be out of the highwater flood zone so they wouldn't get washed out like they have in the past. We could roll them up the hill then put them back in the ground. I also suggested that we could paint them also. They presently look like unattended relics of the past which I think conveys the idea that their message no longer applies or matters. The big metal forestry sign has a spot on it wear another sign could be attached onto the brackets sticking out from the post. I suggested that a solid metal backing with a metal rim that would accomadate a 8 and a half by 11 peice of paper could be attached to the brackets. An information sheet that could be changed from time to time could be inserted into this metal rim and then plexiglass could be attached on front of the paper to keep it from being damaged. The screws or bolts to attach the plexiglass would utilize fasteners that could not be remove with normal tools. The information sheet behind the plexiglass would be laminated to protect in from getting wet or dirty. The information sheet and the plexiglass could be easily replaceable if damaged. The information on the sheet would be decided on by the group. All of this would be discussed by the group then a proposal would be submitted to the USFS for thier approval since the current signs are thiers. An information sign like this could also be placed on the other side of the creek near the beach area, probably preferrable up near that big pine tree back from the beach so the sign would not be visible from the pools themselves. The information on the sign near the beach would be the same as the info on the other signs by the Arizona pool. Also one last very large sign maybe 45 feet by 80 feet standing up in the middle of the grassy area with huge, large orange letters saying something like " Deep Creek Volunteers-Follow Our Rules ". That will get the nitwits attention, eh!
