Re: Springs news and DCV meeting

I was in the area yesterday doing some exploring down stream. I saw a guy on a motorcycle above me, first going down the PCT then a little later going back up. After I made my way around a tuff spot in the creek ( like a jungle ) I connected with the PCT and went up to DCHS. When I got in the area of the Crab Cooker I immediatly noticed that the rocks were alot cleaner. There were two woman soaking and a few more people up around the Arizona pool. I soaked in the Womb briefly since I had spent most my time exploring. When I went around by the trees on my way out I also noticed the damage to the trees. It looks like somebody has pulled out all of the wooden stakes supporting them ( probably for fire wood ) and many of the trees are also damaged. Unfortunatly any new plantings will probably see similiar treatment since there are those that frequent the area that have developed no consideration for the efforts it took the tree planter to plant the new trees. I know we are all dismayed to see damage done to " any " trees at the springs. I may see you at the meeting on Sunday, if not, I'm sure you will have a great day :-)
