Ron has asked me to give some directions to the Deep Creek Volunteers meeting at Silverwood Lake. When you come up through the Cajon Pass on the 15 FWY you will come to HWY 138 in about the middle of the pass just past the truck check point. Take this HWY east or right if your coming north on the 15 FWY. Continue on this Hwy till you see Silverwood lake off to your left just as you head toward the mountains. I think its around 12 miles, just a guess. Just after you see Silverwood lake you will look for an offramp on your right which will take you to a road that crosses under HWY 138. Follow this road under 138 and it will then curve sharply right on the other side and follow it a short ways to the State Park entrance. I suggested that we could meet near the swimming area because this area has many tables as well as grass areas. I figured that after the meeting people could go and check out other nice parts of the park near the Marina or they could walk along the long walking and biking path that covers most of the length of the south side of the lake. Just ask the people taking the fee at the gate directions to the swimming area. I think its the first left hand turn after going through the gate and then this road winds around the west side of the lake and shortly hits the parking area by the swim area. I assume were still doing the 1PM meeting time. My family and I will see who ever shows up for the day :-)
